Thanks for the prayers, but it was not meant to be. We waited Wednesday, but then we were told that it would be Thursday for sure. We waited today, and now we're being told that we'll finally have our sentencia tomorrow morning. We're still hoping that we might get to leave Bucaramanga for Bogota this weekend, but there's a good chance that we'll have to be here until Monday.
Obviously, the whole process is a little frustrating. It would just be easier if we knew a definite time or date for things so we could deal with it, but never knowing anything for sure is hard.
Marisol is still doing great, though. We're just hanging out with her and hoping to take her to her permanent home soon.

We also had sentencia on a Friday. We were not able to leave until Wednesday. Monday was birth certificate, Tuesday was passport and we left Wednesday morning & had Avi's doctor's appointment that afternoon. Went to the embassy Thursday and had visa on Friday. Hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, you will be a day ahead of us and able to leave Bogota by Friday. Good Luck!! Praying for you all. It's ironic how we wait for our babies and then we have to wait again when we get them. I started getting really ansy during this time. Get it over with already, I want to go home!!
FYI Avi's birth certificate was in another town. The passport process was really quick. I think we spent maybe an hour downtown waiting for it. We had to wait outside.
My thoughts are with you as you wait. I remember that feeling...not knowing when but also realizing that it could literally be any minute. We were either going to have another day trying to stay busy or we could be frantically trying to get to the passport office, buy tickets to fly back to Bogota, repack everything, say good byes etc. Sentencia is what changes everything--from the chilling out, relaxing normal schedule you have created over the past month to the crazy last week preparing to come home. BUT you will get the call and you will come home--soon.
Oh, I also remember that frustration. It was so hard for me to relax because all we were asking for was a signature! Something that would literally take a second! But as someone else said, everything changes after sentencia. You are rushing from then on out in the mad dash to get home.
I found your blog from another site and have enjoyed seeing your beautiful daughter! We got home a year ago with our son and you won't believe how time flies with a little one! It seems like I just left!
Hope you get sentencia soon!
